The storyteller.

I needed to do this simple oil sketch today. Sketches always make me feel happy. I don't know why. My drive to create paintings does not last long. After a few days, i fall back into sketching. Sinple. Very little paint, Done in a few minutes. Totally relaxing.

Three People

Three people. Do they know each other? Or is this snap of a moment captured and put on hold in an artist's imagination just a picture of three strangers who happen to be in close proximity in a hallway? Most probably, they each seem to look preoccupied with their own business.

Sisters having tea and a chat.

This is like a "wish" painting. I miss my twin sister and i look forward to our meet up in the near future, i hope.

Still life, kitchen theme

This small still life painting o bok choi, some apples, and the salt container plus a knife is quite a charming work. There's probably a piece of meat nearby, ready to be cut into chunky cubes for a nice stew.

The guitar man.

I have worked on this painting many times over. Now, i believe i have reached satisfaction with the result. Time to move to another work.

Drawing/painting nuns, particularly Therese of Lisieux, had been part of my very early attempts to draw. I am so pleased with this latest one. It shows i know a little bit more how oil paint behaves. This is very important to know which affects how an artist applies the paint on the surface.

Mother Teresa with Our Lady of Guadalupe.

A portrait painting in oil, 7 x 9 1/2 inches, stretched canvas.

The Neighbours

This is a small oil painting, 5 x 7 inches on paper. Do these people know each other? I am not sure. Maybe. There seems to be a brief acknowledgment on their faces.
